The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom vince il GOTY ai Japan Game Awards 2024

La CESA (Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association) ha annunciato i vincitori dell’edizione 2024 dei Japan Game Awards durante il Tokyo Game Show. Quest’anno la cerimonia ha incoronato come gioco dell’anno The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the KIngdom dopo più di un anno dalla sua uscita su Nintendo Switch.

Se vi sembra strano che Zelda sia stato contato per quest’anno, è perché i Japan Game Awards tengono conto dei giochi usciti durante il precedente anno fiscale, quindi per quest’edizione sono stati contati tutti i giochi rilasciati tra il 1° aprile 2023 e il 31 marzo 2024. L’anno scorso, ad esempio, il premio è stato consegnato all’espansione Sunbreak di Monster Hunter Rise.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom si è portata a casa anche il premio per le migliori vendite. L’edizione di quest’anno dei premi ha poi visto l’aggiunta di due categorie, i Breakthrough Award (dedicato ai giochi che creano un nuovo genere) e Movement Award (dedicato ai giochi che espandono la loro influenza anche a persone che solitamente non giocano), vinti rispettivamente da The Exit 8 e Suika Game.
